FS - 2001 Boxster, Tip, very low kms!!!

Located in Ottawa, ON.

2 owner car - I purchased from a Porsche dealer as it came off the original 5 year lease in May 2006, with less than 11K miles (17K kms). Car had been serviced annually at Park Place Porsche in Dallas until imported into Canada by me. I have been a PCA member for over 13 years.

Car has 58,000 kms on it now. All service is up to date or ahead. Mobil 1 synthetic oil changed annually before storage using a Porsche filter. Spark plugs replaced at 48,000 kms to make sure they don't seize in head. Brake fluid changed at 48,000 kms as well. Air filters replaced just prior to that. Recent battery, kept on maintainer when not in use. Tires (3rd set) are premium Bridgestone RE050 Pole Positions with excellent tread remaining (much better tires than original Continentals).

Car is garaged every night and stored covered for the winter.

Other options include rare (and very expensive) Tiptronic S transmission, Sport Package (wind stop deflector, cruise control, alarm system, CD radio with 6 speakers), rear storage compartment, dealer-option genuine Porsche rear speakers (4 additional speakers, for a total of 10 speakers), front console CD holder, LED footwell and ambient lighting, driver & passenger 10-way electric & heated seats, driver's seat memory, 17x7/8.5 Boxster Design wheels w/ coloured centre caps.

RMS failures seem to be the Achilles heels of these cars. Note that Tiptronic cars have a far lower failure rate than manual transmission cars, and have proven to be extremely reliable. The Porsche Tiptronic S is a far more sporty, and in my opinion far superior, system than almost any other automatic transmission with manual shifting. Experienced track and autocross drivers claim lap times competitive with manual transmission cars. The Tip S has the shifters on the steering wheel.

Car looks and drives like an almost new car, and is priced accordingly.



Asking C$22,500 but open to reasonable offers considering condition and mileage. Selling to purchase a 4-seat convertible to enjoy with my co-pilot in the picture and his little brother, as well as my original co-pilot!
