That is funny.
It makes me wonder how far south a person would have to go to play golf this time of the year?! I am not taking snow tires off of the cars until early May. What a winter.

South? No need! Head west to Vancouver Island.

On the positive side, there are no mosquitoes or bugs out there right now!

That is one thing that I miss about working out of province. I was able to get spring in Vancouver then in the Okanagan then (finally) back in Cowtown.

Oh well, what do you do? Move? Not until I have enough years for a full pension or close to it.

Looking at the green grass, flowers and trees on the Masters coverage.
Be another month before it gets too green here.

Its baaack!

Went out with my son and quickly washed the SC. Started to snow while we were in the wash bay and was dumping pretty good on the way home.
Back in the garage, wiped down. Doors, hood, deck lid and fuel door open and the heat up in the garage to dry it out.
Sta-Bil in the tank.
Almost ready to cover it up.
Have a little basement bathroom project to get at and finished this year and some cabinetry and closets to install but hoping that I can do a little work on the SC over the winter.

don't forget to run it enough to get the stabil-ized fuel all the way to the injectors.

Absolutely!
I dumped it into a full tank before we left for the car wash. Lots of time to supply out to everything.

What is the best way to resolve paint issues without a full repaint on a guards red car, Don? It probably needs a full repaint to do it properly but I really don't want to lay out the cash for a car that won't appreciate much with that type of investment.

Hoping to see the autobody guys come back onto main campus at SAIT one day!

Apparently there is a chassis dyno in one of the Automotive shops but not in the one next to my old lab space. I need to make better friends at work.... One of the instructors is a former Porsche master mechanic.

Good idea to do an oil change too and disconnect battery.

Well, tucked Rosie away for the winter today. **Sigh** Full gas tank with a shot of stabil and trickle charger on.

I'll do the winter maintenance tasks once I get the crap/projects cleared out of the shop. That will take some time....my back still isn't being nice to me.

Meanwhile, Rosie sits in an unheated garage - I do hope she forgives me. LOL!!!!

Happy hibernation...............

Yep, that time again. Mine's been Stabiled, washed and in for the Long Sleep as of last weekend. Will do an oil change and valve adjustment in a couple weeks.

I do have a question for the brain trust: though I haven't had any problems in the past, what's the general consensus on over inflating the tires for storage? My last set was Dunlop Direzzas, but I have new Continental Extreme Contacts and they have a noticeably softer sidewall than the Dunlops. Air them up to 40 PSI (or more) or just leave them at the regular levels?

Charlie, the unheated garage is likely fine. Though you are in a warmer, damper climate than here, so maybe some dessicant inside might be in order. In Alberta, unheated might even be better than or at least as good as heated - dry, cold air will probably preserve quite nicely.

I have heard of others putting 5 extra psi in the tires over the winter. I never do - but that is me.

Rosie will go in the heated shop once I make room. Nothing worse than working on a cold car. I like everything - tools, car, stuff - to be above 60* F when I'm working on it. Drives the moisture off too. Interesting though - once I'm in the shop with the lights, TV and stereo on for a couple hours, it get to around 70* F. Very comfortable. I heat it with a small electric space heater.

But then, I'm in the southwest corner of Canada. We grow frigging banana and palm trees in the summer. Winter here is some frost on a clear night and a ton of rain from November to April.

Two advantages of our weather - do not have the shovel the rain and you don't really freeze your balls off.
