1973T Targa tub. Talk me out of cutting it up.
I need a long hood front latch panel.
Apparently prices have changed somewhat since I had time to work on my backdate (83SC coupe - bought as tub only). After driving it for a year, I stripped a so-so 73T targa of its parts about 10 years ago to backdate the 83. If the 73 were a coupe I wouldn't hesitate to fix the battery boxes, suspension pan, tank supports, removing the turbo flairs, etc. but, I wanted a coupe. Other than taking up space, I've had no thought to cut it up. I thought after using it for reference maybe someone else might need it. Anyway, Restoration Design lists the part for $880(!). Restoration Design | Front latch support panel with lip 1967-73 What is such a 73T targa tub worth? Inevitably, it will be worth less if I cut the latch panel out but, parts of the tub could help others live on. Otherwise, it has a clean title. I have been out of the loop for a while but, such tubs used to languish in the Classifieds. Your thoughts would be appreciated, Tim K |
