US Auto Brokers/Buyers
Hi, given the US/CAD FX I am interested in how best to sell a vehicle (not my 911, rather my wife's SUV) in the US. To make it worth while it would need to be a pretty easy and clean transaction. My initial thoughts are to sell to a broker/buyer who does this as their vocation.
Does anyone know anything about this, know any such entities etc? Thanks in advance.

I too am interested to hear how this would play out. I would also consider looking at the UK and Europe as a market. When I look at Britain and basically 1UK pound is 2 C$, it looks like Canadian cars are a bargain for them. Of course you need to get the car over there, import costs etc.

Advertise your car in the us. The buyer usually does the work. You can't personal drive across the border and sell the car. There are lots of brokers at the border. Phone transport Co or talk to border services to find broker. Usually paperwork is done by buyer and they work with you on shipping
For overseas sales container shipping Co will handle the shipping. Once you have your money you can drop off to shipper with your transfer papers plus title. May have some paperwork but buyer deals with most of that stuff when it arives in the destination country. Goggle importation or exporting a car under Canadian border services and info is there. Not difficult to do. Goodluck. THANKS Rob. |
