Trouble with taxes are that once the government gets hooked on them, they cannot quit on their own.... Does't matter which colour of government.

I remember one red coloured party that was elected on the promise that they would rid the country of that awful GST (acronym for grab, snatch and take). Guess the money was too good as we still have the tax many governments later.

I agree. Just getting started. Next year the US will be raising interest rates with stronger economy, Canada could be in recession and lowering rates. We could have C$ in .60's. We are heading back to $1.30 - even without oil $ rising.
