The pan was intact except where someone drove over something and damaged the rear driver side floor. Otherwise pretty tame rust issues. Stripped car of everything and went to bare metal August '13; repair rust, replaced front fender side supports, fixed rusted left windshield cowl and removed 70lbs of bondo from rear qtr due to a light hit with a bad repair. Damage was nominal, but required straightening. When completed, metal looked like it just came of the production line.
Targa top was rebuilt by Dan.
Has an original Porsche steel S bumper of the period.
Re-chromed door vent window frames, sills & Targa window base trim.
Targa bar stripped from raddle-can black to original SS.
All aluminum was stripped, polished and re-anodized.
Interior
Repairing pockets.
Original seats are like new except I took them apart to clean and refinish the supports. Also have a set of LS Recaro seats I change out once in a while.
Becker-Mexico radio rebuilt with vintage rear speaker window enclosure.
Needs new carpets.
New door cards because someone cut them for large speakers.
New back side panels
Will clean up gauges, minor rust around the face rings.
Repairing large pockets; short ones are excellent.
Engine / Under the Hood
Rebuilt engine with new pistons, cylinders, rings, chains, tensioners, certs block modifications for cooling oil bushings. New clutch parts too. Valve job with new seats.
Stripped, cleaned and resealed gas tank. Refinished in original texture and finish color.

Suspension
New Boge Shocks all around.
All suspension parts were stripped and epoxy painted.
Stripped, rebuilt and re-anodized brake calipers; replaced rotors and all brake lines with stainless braided & pads.
Replaced brake master cylinder.
New bearings, bushings & CV Boots
Wheels and Tires
Installed date stamped polished cookies with new Vredestein tires.
Original Fuchs will get a full restoration.
