Ugly American checking in

Hey guys, wanted to check in on this section of the forums. Maybe one day it'll pick up some traffic.

Anyways, I live near the Belgian/Dutch/German border near Heinsburg and Aachen. If anybody knows of something Porsche related going on, it would be great to hear about it in the Europe section.

When is the museum supposed to be done, 60th anniversary this year, right?

Hey y'all,
I just discoverd this board; never scrolled down this far in the forums list and always ended up in the tech forum

Richde, d'you speak German? Local Porsche clubs usually have quite a bit going on - including DE and track days. PCA used to have a German chapter as well. Don't know whats up w/that, tho, quit PCA 10 yrs ago because all I had time for was reading Pano - and that got boring after a couple of years (I'm desperately trying to make enough time to recommence serious Porsche silliness).

Whereabouts are you, just outta curiosity (my sister lives in Eynatten just outside of Aachen in BE)? You live right near the Michael Schumacher Cart-Center. That'd be a place to hang out:p. It's not too far to the either 'Ring - maybe we ought to do a Pelican meet up there.

Museum is supposed to open in the 2nd half of '08, last I read (Focus).

I noticed that when someone posted the pics from the Essen show last weekend. Just wondered about actually trying to plan or at least announce when things are going on.

I'm about 30 minutes or so North of Aachen. I've got a few finishing touches to do, like the brakes and corner balance/alignment, before I head down to the 'ring again.

That's the first I've heard of when the museum was going to open up, hoped it would be by August when friends visit.
