Hello,

I am Rufie and like many of my Porsche friends on the forum of www.flat-6.net we are losing our home, because the site will disappear very soon. I hope there is a place on this forum, which I have followed since a long time and which I like, for me and the others. We are all obsessed by the same thing, we respect each others opinion. We don't like flame wars but try to share all the info about Porsche we find.

Here! Sign of life, just wondering what is that site that opened to me now as I tried to enter flat-6. Some cow on it? Do you hapen to have any mail by cosmin, so we could know if we could hear again if 944 guy´s sister has smashed up His 944

. Sorry too desperate for Flat-6.

BTW. I had this same alias @ flat-6 too; I think it would be great to have all from F6 to here and continue from where we were. (could all use same nick?)

Hello 964,

yes at least one survivor. I hope that others follow or that www.flat-6.net comes back. When you look at the bottom of the page with that cow and click on flat6, it says the following :

"I had to temporarily take down the flat-6.net site from the server due to extremely high bandwidth usage from another site I host. I hope to be able to put it back up by the 30th. Sorry!!!!!!"

Rufie hi ..a friendly face ....i've just been to flat-6 (16.45 30/10/2002) and it's on line? no cow!..... ..this morning it wasn't there or the cow was .....this is a great place for tech stuff if you own a 911 but not as good i think for general chatting (i'll probably get banned now ......sorry guys) LOL......the bandwith may well be a problem if gigs are expensive but i don't understand how a new set of files (a cow etc.) appeared under the flat-6.net domain without someone chahging the index page of the site?....email me if you like

Hi friends,

I see that flat6 is indeed back online again.

I propose to keep this thread as a backup. The day we are without flat6 you come here to get contact with the others. Than we'll still have the chance to discuss which way we will go.

I have checked the other forum but I don't have the impression it is very active. The forums of Pelicanparts on the contrary have a huge number of members online. You haven't time enough to read all the new posts. If this place isn't familiar, with the same people we can make it familiar.

Don't think that I want to promote this site, but it feels terrible to loose all of a sudden all your Porsche friends. So at least know that whatever happens with flat6, we always have a backup here.

Hello everybody! Finally made it over here. There weren't enough spaces to fit Northeast Nebraskan in, so I shortened it to Nebraskan. Looks like we found a decent new home. I'll have more to say once I get used to this place. Fortunately, home is still online for now. Later.

hello rufie, 964, bones, 996, carrera 6, ety935rs, and nebraskan. it's really really nice to see some familiar faces from the F6 site. my name at the F6 site is its_nero, and being proud ot be a flat-6 member i thought i would make it its_nero_frm_F6. if the site happens to go down i hope more of the members will come here until we can figure out what to do.

Hi fellow Flat-6ers if you look at nero's nick he's got F6 on the end........ Let's all do that as a tag we all know and recognise........ use upper case....i'm gonna do it now.....keep the faith guys all may not be yet lost.......

Unfortuneately it seems the nick can't be altered so i added 'F6 Refugee' underneath it!!

hi Nero.......glad you're here too......access the user control panel .....go Edit Profile......then find .......custom user text...putwhatever you like in there....preferably F6 Refugee
