Alternative to PCA?

This may be a touchy subject, but I am curious as to whether there is a more hands-on, actual car enthusiast (rather than “look at how much money I have” poseurs) group devoted to Porsche’s out there. Although it isn’t particularly evident in my region, it is easy to see how much PCA National has sold out to become a factory house organ.

I long for “the good old days” when we actually car-oriented activities other than socials and drive-outs to over priced inns.

What Porsche enthusiasts (or at least this one) need is a group like the BMW (bike) people have, the Airheads Beemer Club. This was formed as an alternative to the far more pretentious BMWMOA. (Which, BTW, sold out to factory promotional interesting long before PCA, if you can believe that!)
