S parts

So, i go to pick up the new mini next weekend. I have had the JCW package installed which leaves me with a supercharger, head and other assorted parts. You guys think anybody will looking for this stuff down the road?

Question for you....

JCW Package? What exactly does that include?

I'm not sure if I pm'ed you or not Eli. Werks package includes new supercharger, head, exhuast, ecu? I believe.

JCW also includes a smaller pully and plug wires, I think.

It's a great kit and doesn't effect your warranty - in 2006 it's a factory option.

Come on 2006

Do you actually get to keep the upgraded parts?

Wonder where the SCCA will class a factory JCW. Probably Super Stock. As they put it in Street Prepared now.

I would like to find someone to do the porting work on the head.
Then it's just a smaller pulley and whalla a 200 Hp Mini. But that would make it a street mod car. Crap.

I think you can probably keep the old parts - BTW the JCW kit includes a new intake head.

There is some debate regarding SCCA classing - since it's going to be offered from the factory now, it may actually be considered stock.

According to MINIUSA.Com, the JCW kit includes:
Supercharger, Head, Air Filter, Twinsports Exhaust, Spark Plugs, EMC Software, Badges

I thought you also got a new intercooler and pulley, but maybe those are included in the "Supercharger" package. I also thought you got high performance plug wires, but that may be included with the "spark plugs"

Personally, I think it would be cool to leave OFF the JCW badges (keep them, of course) and make it a bit of an "S Sleeper" but that's just me.
