R53 overheating problem

Dear friends... I am new to the forum. I would like to ask your opinion on a R53 overheating problem. Turns out coolant boils out of the expansion tank, fans don't turn on when the temperature gage gets to halfway. I have follow the procedure for a safe bleed and coolant refill. So far I have replaced temperature sensor, radiator and thermostat because I found they were bad. Expansion tank is for delivery in a couple of weeks but I don't think it is bad, it just looks old. The car was probably overheated like a week ago. Is it a good chance that may have blown the overhead gasket? Any ideas? Any help is very appreciated...

The radiator fans going bad are pretty common on these. If you can, make a jumper wire and jump the terminals for the 2 stages of the fans in the fuse box under the hood.

Also, the water pump on these can fail without leaking. Check that by disconnecting the small hose on the top of the expansion tank and hold the end into the top of it. Run the engine and see how much coolant is flowing.
