Hi I drive a 2005 mini cooper and recently the ps pump is not working. It started when the pump did not switch off and runs the battery flat then later it only works when the car is hot. Then it just stopped working. Please give advise. Could it be a relay/ fuse or pump.

This is a common problem with the pump. The pump has an internal control module that fails, the pump will continue to run and drain the battery. Time for a replacement.

be very sure that it is the pump still running and not just the fan ... I have done a few pumps (or started to do the pump) to find the fan relay was bad.
To test you can easily disconnect the PS fan from the harness and see what happens.
