HI GUYS, I have a 2008 mini s JCW 6 speed manual. The car got stuck in 3rd gear. I can go through the rest of the gears but it just binds up. When I put the shifter in 3rd it just don't seem to go all the way in. I think the pin that holds the fork to the shaft broke? is this a common problem ? What parts do I need to fix it. I love this little car & want it fixed. THANK for any info.

It is not a common issue, but it does sound like something inside the transmission has failed. Maybe a shift fork.
You are going to have to disassemble the trans to see exactly what you need. - Nick |
