I was able to replace the pulley successfully, but my question is if I wanted to return the pulley to the original one...how do I install it back on? Do i need a press and can I just hammer it back in somehow?

As Wayne says above NEVER beat on the supercharger you could damage the bearings inside it. It looks like there are threads in the shaft for the supercharger, I would use a long bolt to get the old pulley back on.
