R56 Heater blower motor issue
2007 R56 Hatchback with automatic heat control.
I replaced the Final Stage Unit (Blower Regulator) Blower still will not turn on. If I bring the power on to where the auto control lights up, I can change the speed and temp. on the screen. Still no blower action. If I unplug the power at the blower and jump it with 12V, it will run. If I power off the car, and unplug the blower motor. Then power up the car to where the control screen lights up. I can plug the motor to the power lead from the regulator, the motor will then run and I can control the speed from the screen on the control screen. If I shut the power off and then power it back up, no action till I do the above again. Looking at my Bentley manual. It shows an K4 heater blower relay in the A4010 junction box. What & where would I find that. How to ID it? I used my volt meter to check the voltage on the regulator pins 1 through 4 and all looked good per what was shown on the blower regulator test section, unless I missed something. Thanks Gary |
It was loose wire on regulator pin 3. all is now well.

Good thing you found the missing piece

Glad you figured out the issue, Gary. Thanks for reporting back with it as it may help someone else out in the future.
