Stiff clutch on 85 911

I read the comments on why a 1985 911 clutch requires more pressure to operate. Most said it is the cable but I have owned this car since brand new & the clutch has always been hard. Every mechanic that has worked on the car mentions the stiff clutch. Are any answers besides the cable being a problem?

It may have a cracked/broken release fork or have only 1 side catching the release bearing. = installed wrong. - cable wrapped around a tube in the tunnel. - bad pedal bushings. - bad pressure plate/ wrong one. - rubber center clutch disc broken and jamming the pressure plate.
Take your pick.
Good luck, LA
