2002 Anderson 16' Open Trailer For Sale
SOLD!!
2002 Anderson SC716 Open Car Trailer Asking $2200.00; Trailer is in Atlanta, GA. I'm willing to deliver within a 200 mile radius or so. Reason for sale: Going to enclosed trailer to get my track car out of the garage. Summary of modifications: 1> Diamond plate, locking storage box mounted to front of trailer frame 2> Locking steel tire rack welded to front of trailer frame. 3> Upgraded trailer tires to E-Load Rating for increased durability 4> NAPA Steel valve stems installed on all tires, including spare, to preclude tire stem failures 5> Emergency brake system break-away battery wired for Battery Tender trickle charger connection 6> Spare tire mounted and locked to frame underside This is a great open deck car trailer that has been well maintained, modified and upgraded and used regularly in a recreational capacity. This is a 16 foot deck trailer, dual rail, open center channel for reduced weight. It's a very light steel trailer at 1600 lbs. with dual 3500lb axles and dual axle electric brakes. The trailer is rated for 7500 lbs by Anderson, which assumes 500 lbs tongue weight minimum.). Dry cell battery for brake system emergency break-away is wired for Battery Tender trickle charger and thus battery is in excellent condition. It has a spare wheel and tire mounted to the undersides and locked for security. In 2003 I mounted a new 60" Challenger diamond-plate, dual-latch, locking toolbox to the front of the trailer. I have also had a tire rack welded to the front of the trailer that spans the full width of the trailer - good for 8 wide race tires or more (275 section width). I replaced and upgraded the load rating of all four tires (who needs blowouts?) about four years ago and installed Napa steel valve stems on all five wheels. They are appropriate trailer tires with about 30% tread remaining. Since I use the trailer throughout the year, there is no dry-rotting; these tires would last me four more years. This trailer has brakes on both axles which were serviced on the unit about three years ago and are in excellent working order. The axles have EZ lube fittings, and have been greased regularly. I estimate the trailer now weighs 1900lbs, leaving a 5600 lb payload capacity -- far more than even new, heavy cars weight.
