993 newcastle
Hi I use to be on this forum a few years ago. I had a 911 sc and a 911T
I now own a Lotus Exige (which is for sale) Its on display at this years F1 GP if anyones interested. I am thinking of purchasing a 993. There is a cheap Australian delivered one in Newcastle, just wondering if anyone knows anything about the vehicle. I know its a auto with the steering wheel shift buttons. I would prefer manual but at 39k its pretty cheap and if it checks out ok I may look into it further. If anyone knows the vehicle or is in the area and wants ot check it out, it might save me a plane trip up there. if anyone knows of any 993's (pref manual) let me know too ![]() 1995 PORSCHE 911 CARRERA for sale in NSW - Newcastle $39,990 993 Coupe used @ carsguide.com.au Cheers Simon

Hi Simon,
Was your SC brown? With a ducktail? Or perhaps that was someone else... The 993 you're looking at has been discussed over at Porsche Forum Australia - PFA - Cheap 993 - for a reason Good luck!

Yes I had a copper metallic 911 SC and a blue 911T.
Ahhh thats good to know, thanks you just saved me a trip and had a friend driving his new BMW M3 down the coast was going to drop in and have a look, ill tell him not to bother. Funny no mention of that in the advert or when I rang him.

Rang the car yard back, asked if there was anything wrong with the vehicle that I should know about, and why it was so cheap. he said no its a great vehicle and just has a few little dings in the door.
I asked if it had a full service history. he said yes. I asked for the mechanics name so I could phone him and ask about the car. He then said its a mechanic friend who does all his cars and he wouldn't give me his number. I then said well i know its a repairable write off. he said oh yes it is. Said it has bumper, bonnet, front guard replaced, all genuine porsche. airbag didn't go off. but I think I could trust this guy as far as I could thow him. In the end he said he didn't care if the car sold or not, and wasnt worth giving me his mechanics details unless I was prepared to buy it lol

Hahaha -
"Oh. You're talking about the BLUE 993. Yeah, that one was a write-off. But half the cars on the road these days are write-offs, ya know? Anyway, the damage buffed right out." I hate stereotypes, but I hate it more when folks live up to them.
