Hello Dueller, good to see you back! Always enjoyed your posts.

Dueller 07-10-2018 05:31 AM

Thank you all for your kind and generous welcome back to the OT fold. I am truly humbled by your sentiments.

After a near 4 decade career in law where I strove to give back to clients I served, somewhat surprised my legacy is my tale of 74 hours in a New Orleans jail. I wonder if it will take its place in the annals of history beside MLK's letter from a jail cell? LOL

I'll have to locate that old thread to see where I left off. But I fear my ending won't compare with your speculation as to the outcome!

welcome back. appreciate the frank comments on post stroke life!

btw if you were still just practicing it was probably time to hang it up anyways;)

Welcome back sir and well done on being one that does not yield to unfortunate circumstances. As I like to say "never underestimate the power of an unreasonably defiant attitude". It always gets me through...

I stayed out of this group of forums for quite some time and had to ask the same question about changes. Seems pretty much the same ol', same ol' to me. Of course there are lots of new names but not so much in OT. Some have moved on. But I think you can see by the comments that most are around even if not that active.

I too, am glad to see you posting.

peppy 07-10-2018 07:41 AM

Glad you're back.

Welcome back, Sir!

DAMN YOU, SM. LOL

I went back and read my feeble attempt at humor. Brought back a lot of memories. I forgot that I had my first stroke mid Tale. Believe it or not I think I made notes of the ordeal just in case I ever needed them to write my memoirs. Let me look at them and I may finish the story for those of you interested in my admittedly irresponsible Behavior.

LOL. When I went back and read it I realized y'all only got the first 6 hours of my New Orleans ordeal. If I can muster the memories I'm sure I'll have to give an abridged version of the remaining 68 hours. Heck, I had not even arrived at Central Lockup.

speeder 07-10-2018 11:52 AM

I would not mind hearing the rest but I'm pretty sure that you spent the entire weekend in jail before being arraigned and got charged w everything you already listed in the story. I'd be curious what you were able to get it pleaded down to, it's a pretty aggravated DUI story considering that no one was injured by your actions.
