What's in your DVD library?
Not sure how many I have in my collection but have added a few each year.
Lately decided to get "Homicide - Life on the Street" and Crime Story". Neither one of these series I watched on a regular basis when they were on TV, so I have some good entertainment ahead of me.

Somewhere I have a copy of Song of the South on DVD. Really wish I could set up a collection, but due to lack of interest in watching TV, a lack of shared interest in the kind of TV/movie I'd want to watch vs. the rest of teh family, etc. I haven't bothered. Not to mention the damage the children have done over the years to various media ...
Up until a few years ago I couldn't support streaming on my connection - too slow. Never underestimate the bandwidth of a USPS car full of Netflix envelopes. Amazing how many 4-8gb chunks of data you can fit into a 2tb RAID array... |

MrsWD has dozens. Me - I have a Don Garlitz documentary, every episode of “Connections” a boxed set of “Victory at Sea”, a video about the original Can Am series, Monty Python’s “Life of Brian” and “holy Grail”.
I’m not a good little media consumer.

No idea. All our LPs, DVDs, and VHS movies were tossed on our last move. I can stream all of it online within minutes.

I have very few DVDs. Only movies that I can watch over and over and enjoy them every time:
Shawshank Redemption Saving Private Ryan Ronin (with DeNiro - I love that show for some reason) A Knight's Tale (with Heath Ledger - another guilty pleasure) Fletch (greatest comedy of all time) Monty Python's Holy Grail (right there with Fletch) A Steve McQueen collection with Papillon and Bullet... Event Horizon (that movie freaks me out)

An entire rack of PG/R movies from the 90s, and another cabinet of G rated Disney style movies. I don't think we have played a DVD in the last 5 years, what a waste of money.
Hate to think how many LPs from my wife, and I before we were married (mostly late 60s/70s rock/jazz) that we haven't accesed in 25 years. |

About 80-90% of my collection is concerts, everything from The Who & U2 to Bob Dylan & Joni Mitchell. I do have Star Wars trilogy, Lord of the Rings directors cut, Star Trek box set.
A series of DVD's on Charles Eames (I did maintenance on one of his exhibit and worked with an old guy who knew him) The box set of Samurai movies (the ones they said the spaghetti westerns copied) and a bunch of other weird documentary type disks.
