What is funny is the vanity of high ranking politicians in particular. What is bad is the mega aggressive racism of certain US politicians .What is sad is the same attitude amongst certain Pelican contributors

I think what I read about it is fairly funny.

It is really easy to trip people up on camera, and its funny to see how to pieces people will go. They aren't use to it so the "tunnel".

You can get people to say or do all sorts of funny stuff.

And if he targets just one party, well, perhaps it is because the other party doesn't need a coaching comedian to get them to say dumb stuff.

Yes we're stupid, but at least when it is pointed out we can fix it; instead of having that stupidity suppressed and a media gag order preventing knowledge of it.

The trailer I thought it'd be funny.

Before watching the movie I found out some of its other content, never watched.

He just manages to include bits and pieces that sour the rest.

KC, it isn't about the moderator, but rather that some of the same folks that complain one way, aren't complaining when it is still political but hadn't yet disagreed with their bias.

Nah....I was the first to speak up....simply told fint to take his ancient political thread over to PARF where it belongs....nothing more. Didn't read that thread and haven't seen any of the vids on this one either. Not sure what my bias is....other than keeping OT/PARF as they have been for over a decade now...

Twice....that's how many times I've contacted a moderator or Wayne here in 17 years....nuthin' to do with politics either time....just blatent racism that didn't belong here imo.

Kind of reminds me what stuttering John did on the Howard Stern show for many years by ambushing celeb's with stupid questions and watch them squirm .......... I do enjoy that type of humor . This is just the modern version with politicians . Let's face it many if not all celeb's and politicians are ego driven so they are very easy targets . Take them " off script " where they have to think on their own and their true colors come to the surface . I don't buy excuses like they goaded me or it's the interviewers fault .......... YOU are what you are and no one controls that but YOU !

I can only hope this type of exposure will eventually get politicians of ALL parties back to the business of doing what's best for this country and its citizens . Probably not going to happen in my lifetime :(

FYI, if a title is obvious it is likely to get moved.

If a title is not obvious it may take a message.

I was expecting This is America to be a travel documentary, so the title is somewhat misleading.

So what does this say about Cohen?

For example, in the bit with the Georgia Representative, Cohen used the word that "using that word makes you racist" first.

So if Cohen considered it ok to use, is that his true colors?

Just applying some logic to what is going on.

I agree with most of what you said, and am always happy to see some bad politicians outed.

But in some cases you need to look at the circumstances that lead to a decision.

In the case of using a particular word was directed at a terrorist, not because of race, but to goad them into making poor decision making, then perhaps the use of that word is tactical rather than racial.

Something to consider about setting a person up with cameras rolling.

You are asked to be part of a show to work to end domestic violence against women.

They get you doing different things, slowly building on you the legitimacy of what you are doing.

Then they say they need a shot of someone hitting a woman to show how cruel it is, and ask you to do the deed, it is for the greater good.

The actress is ok with it, says bring it on.

You do it, but lightly.

They tell you it didn't look real, hit harder, the actress says she is fine with it, she can take it.

So you hit harder.

Now they have a shot of you hitting a woman with force.

You can dupe someone into believing they do something for a greater good, and get on camera them doing something bad, be careful with your editing of the process, and hey, this guy beats up women.

Complaining within the thread...is "complaining"...a few comments then one of the less measured liberals goes ape****. Then it gets moved. Why have you not complained within this thread? Obviously you have seen it...as you are posting in it.
