I will no longer be doing and gun work or restoration for people on this forum. It used to be a place of trust and friendship. Things have changed. I've been ripped off by two people on this forum now so no more. Don't ask. It won't happen. Sorry I had to post this.

Sorry for your troubles. People can suck sometimes.

So sorry to hear that S-man. Your restoration threads have been a highlight of the forum.
Even more sad to hear that the trust and relieabilty with in our group is fading.

Respect and civility are also on the wain. And with it plenty of the very interesting contributors we used to enjoy.

Hang in there, I'm sure the quality of your work and charicter will continue to attract good customers.
So really our loss.

No pressure needed. I don’t really care about the money. It’s about friendship honesty and respect for others. The offenders shall remain nameless. They know who they are.

It's not a matter of calling them out for shaming.
But if they are still active here, it's a matter of who may be next to be done wrong by them.
We are really a small community and need to protest ourselves and each other from bad actors from within.
But up to you David, ya got to do what feels right to you.

Good on ya for that! Sorry to say, not all that surprised over what happened.

That would be a shame Paul. This place has always seemed like a band of brothers to me. I would hate to see it fade away. But then all things change. I promise to remain the same. I have let one of the offenses bother me for almost 3 years, waiting for them to do what they promised. The other is more recent and a noob so I should have known better. That one is on me I guess. I finally lost enough sleep over it that I came to the decision to just let it go and just not do anything that is not local and cash and carry at the shop.

A wise decision on your part... and I'm glad the money part of it didn't hurt you too badly.
