Fortunately No... I just don't get the fascination with this guy from old crusty white men. Meanwhile folks in his, eh-hem, demographic couldn't care less about him.
Sure, doesn't help that I fully agree with the late-great George Carlin's assessment on golf either... Flame on brothers - buy that red polyester Nike shirt with the matching black TW hat & logo. As for him winning, let's see if he can win a major ever again.

Listen, I know the air quality Out left is pretty toxic (even worse than NJ I bet)... I think you need to detoxify your brain. Tiger lover

I'd like to see him have another streak, just because my mom likes watching him, and she's 92.
I get that he played around on his wife, and he paid the price. However, I have never seen anyone play golf like he did. HE made golf interesting for a lot of people who wouldn't have bothered to watch, just because of how well he played. I never watch golf, but I watched Tiger. It's similar to watching Larry Bird play basketball. He did things you thought were impossible, even as you were watching them happen. It didn't just happen once in a while, it happened every game. Tiger could string difficult shots together, one after another. And that was amazing. I think people would like to see Tiger make a comeback. Not because he deserves it, or because he has learned any kind of lesson, but simply to see the game of golf played at his level. For the love of the game. ^^^^ Daniel just nailed it for me. Like a lot of things I just can NOT do, or don't even really care about, I'll briefly watch it being done at a level I can't fathom. Don't know if you ever played sports, or have had back issues....have you? If not, you missed why I thought Tiger's win was epic... ....and Tiger HAS issues....just like you imo

Tiger could make a terrible shot, that would destroy lessor Golfers confidence. He could then reach down into himself and make a brilliant shot which would win the day. He would do that time after time. He never questioned his ability, when his wife smashed the windshield suddenly he came face to face with his own falability. It shook his confidence in himself which in a fashion was built on sand. So now when faced with a bad shot he would try to force it. That does not work. You try too hard and become rigid in stead of being able to stay relaxed or smooth and in the groove.
He went into a 10 year eclipse of having to struggle with himself. |

I can see that you are a rather shallow person who is not given over to thinking about nuance but rather coming up with trivial flippancies. You think you know but you don't. |

How much pain do I have to feel for him? We have all done at one time or another what he has done in one fashion or form. CHOKED.

tabs, tabs, tabs......you keep proving what I said earlier in this thread. You also show that you are not a very nice human being. I sure hope that pedestal you put yourself on is comfortable.

Being nice has got nothing to do with it. When people tell me I am not being nice it is because I am not doing what they want me to do.

Contrarian...I always make sure that I am on the far side of the flock away from the woods while grazing in the meadow. I do not want to be near those woods... There are conspiracies, if you and some other fellow plan to rob a bank that is a conspiracy. But writ on a large scale NAW...there is no grand conspiratorial plan that controls your life (the THEY in your opinion as to why you are being screwed over). What I have said is that the FED acts as the adult in the room to provide ongoing economic stability while the political process has become dysfunctional. The FED and other Central banks work in conjunction and in their own self interest to stabilize economies (that is their mandate and or job). The political process is dysfunctional when they keep spending money they don't have. The reason why the politicians keep spending the money is that the American people THEMSELVES are in denial of the fact that their life styles are too extravagant... no politician is going to cut their own throat.. Try cutting SS, Medicare, Federal, State and Local spending that provides contracts and jobs. Even if you are far from the trough of the public treasury you are getting a little taste of that honey. Every fking one of you. The individual gets to continue living large while the society as a collective is being bled white (increasing debt)...You are paying the price collectively when you watch the news and argue among yourselves. All that consternation is the immediate price, increasing uncertainty, instability, chaos and fragmentation. Eventually there will be nothing left, even good faith and good will will be gone and then society/civilization will collapse (the individual will still be here, but will be faced and forced to have to deal with a whole new paradigm).... It is the human behavior pattern as evidenced by history...and thus a historical inevitability. It ain't different this time... Hatred....Tiger is what Tiger is for better or worse. I have no dog in the hunt so in the scheme of things he does not matter to me... I just note the personality dynamic at work...an objective assessment as an observer. Which because it is not flattering you conflate into being hatred. Which says more about your own state of verisimilitude than anything else.

The point is that Tiger is still good and capable of winning more. He may or may not be the best golfer to date but he is damn good and entertaining.

(Almost) Everyone loves a comeback story....
Was never a big fan of his but kind of happy to see him win again even if he never pays for my lunch.
