Yesterday I had the opposite of that. Went out to the garage to finish up a SBC I have on the stand. First I discovered Speedway sent me the wrong intake valve that I needed. Found a bad roller rocker that matched the bad valve. Then discovered I ordered the wrong oil pump screen. Ordered a new pump that matched the wrong screen because the correct screen was out of stock. Had to order a full set of rockers to get one. Then I did an oil change on the Cayman. That went great, except for the quart of old oil that ended up on the floor. What a mess.
You know, I am still able to be here posting about it so its all good.:D:D:D

I feel your pain. Took Saturday and Sunday afternoon and $150 to replace a thermostat gasket on the girls truck. Should have been an hour and $5.

I've had a crappy time for the past three days, Mon. thru Wed. We had a wind event, and the power company started sending out automated calls toward the end of last week they may cut off power. At six AM Monday morning, just as the first drip was coming out of the coffee maker, the power went off and didn't go back on until around six PM yesterday. I tell ya it was so nice to finally get a real bath. We went out to eat dinner those nights, lived by flashlight and lantern, and had to listen to the generator when I ran it mostly to keep the fridge and freezer from getting too warm.
