My Amazon account was hacked 😡
My Amazon account was hacked last night.😡
I don’t know how, but I woke up at about 4:30 and couldn’t sleep. Checked my phone and saw several emails from “Amazon“. I figured they were spam and deleted them, but I tried to log in and couldn’t. It has a @list.ru domain email as my user name now. Damn Ruskies! I tried to reset my user name and password, but it wants verification by sending the request to the list.ru email. I called Amazon and filed a complaint. The account is frozen and they said “Accounts” will contact me within 24 hours. My cc was linked to the account (I’m lazy) and I cancelled the card. The funny thing is, I couldn’t log in on the web page, but can access it through the Amazon app. All I can see is they wrote a glowing review for a watch. A search says this is common. While there, I deleted my cc info. I also changed my email password. Rant over. Stay safe out there. |
wow, that sucks. Good luck, hopefully, nothing new pops up. If you have ANY other accounts anywhere on the 'Net that use the same password as your Amazon account, you should change those passwords as well.

Have you stayed at a Marriott owned hotel in the last 4 years

When you sign back up set up 2-step verification. I’ve set 2 step verification up for almost all my accounts to avoid being hacked.

for the past month, I have been getting alerts from my Citibank credit card that "Amazon Prime" is trying to pass a $14 charge, but the credit card info is incorrect. The message is legit, but I can't find any Amazon purchases of any kind. I called Amazon and they don't have a trace of the charge either, or that credit card number on file.
I should probably close that account and open a new one. ugh... |

I had the 2 step verification, but they got in. I changed my email password as well.
I’m thinking of deleting the account and starting a new one. I’d like to transfer some of my purchases to reorder later. I’ve been looking for an iPhone antivirus app but haven’t found one yet. I do have a vpn set up. |
Hmmm.....where's Sid been lately ;)?

Maybe I’m using the wrong terms? |
My sisters was hacked for around a grand.
I'm still fighting amazon for sending me an empty box. They don't want to refund or reship. Amazon.... |

How does this happen? They intercepted your texts to get the code that is sent? Ina any case, thanks, I just set up 2-step on my account. |

I revived several emails this afternoon for reviews of items I didn’t buy. They are pretty comical, but amazon said they were rejected for some reason. |
Set up two-step after the Mrs was hacked a month ago. Also now using the Apple suggested multi-character numeric passwords rather than my old 10 character ones. Knock on wood.

I’m amazed they found a way around 2SV, but I’m not as savvy with customer side stuff as I am with seller side stuff. I will say I know this is something that is not taken lightly and you will get your account back soon and in normal order. Likely a new account would t have any less risk, as they got in by knowing you email and password. You didn’t click on any links in suspicious emails lately did you? |

As a former IT manager for a very large wireless carrier in the US who had a close relationship with the fraud dept; never, ever, use your mobile phone for any type of financial transactions. This includes, banking, purchases at stores or over the interwebs. Any transmission over the air can be intercepted, replicated and used to drain your accounts.
Stay away from free public wi-fi, since it is way too easy for a fraudster to intercept every key stroke. Furthermore, only use one device, at home for financial transactions only. No interwebs surfing or email on that device. That is all. Merry Christmas. Now go buy another device. |

Sites like linked-in,myspace,dropbox,youporn,tumblr,etc.. (and many-many others) have been hacked and your passwords are known in the black market.. So someone will easily try your email/password combo to access your email or Amazon (in this case) account.. Currently there are 517million passwords available for download! (and those are the ones we know about) The Problem: Weak Passwords or Passwords Reuse The Solution: Use a Password Manager to control your passwords and never reuse |
Just an FYI, my hacker did a review of an electric breast pump for me.
It works great! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1544238632.png Amazon Electric Breast Pump, Portable Single Breastfeeding Milk Suction Rechargeable Breast Massage ★★★★★ from XXX on December 5, 2018 Amazing little pump!!! I never write reviews but after using this I had to. I have a Medela pump in style advanced and wanted something a bit smaller that I could easily travel with and put in my purse. I got this because it looked small and was a decent price. Wow am I glad I bought it. This works better and is more comfortable than my PIS I think and possibly could be more efficient. Every time I pump with it I've gotten an ounce more about then I usually do with my other pump. It may end up being my go-to pump when I go back to work. I also was able to get the Phillip Advent bottles which attach perfectly for extra pumping bottles. You got to get this pump if you're on the fence. Worth every penny. |
