The Shaggy Dog
My brother and I both were inspired by this movie, and we both knew one day we'd have hot rods like this. Sent us down a path of no return, so to speak. We became car nuts right at this time/this movie.
Still doin' it.

I guess I'm showing my age... A few years ago, I would have been fixated on the hot rod, but now I am more interested in the car in front. Looks like a 190SL, or maybe even a 300SL roadster.

I caught the "car bug" from my Dad early on but since he was the Director of Operations at Lions Drag Strip I got a really bad case of it!
Hot Rod oil and gas were in the blood line.  One of my rods.....

No, Mickey was the Manager and my Dad was Director of Operations.
I have all the books on building the track, estimates for laying the asphalt and grandstands etc.
