CA. car registration increases?
 

Did anyone hear any reports about California car registrations increasing three times from what they currently are?

I.E. today's registration is, say, $600, but next year, that $600 will be $1,800?

Not quite. It's being debated, don't think it's passed yet.

And it's the VLF (vehicle license fee) portion, which is only a part of the overall total. On my 911, I think the VLF was only $25 of my $80 registration.

What's sad, is this is one the heels of them issuing *refunds* just a couple years ago.

And to top it off... they also want to convert what are now Major Freeways into Toll roads.. last I heard there concidering .25 a mile.
