New Spiderman movie
I didn't want to see it. Caught glimpses of the trailer online, thought an animated version would suck. Sunday night is movie and dinner night with friends so if nothing else would have a nice dinner.
In short, the movie is brilliant. Story and music work together perfectly. Visually, it's stunning, simply gorgeous. So fast-paced, I think you have to see it twice to catch it all and appreciate it. It's rare in movies these days to come out with something new and interesting and innovative AND extremely well executed. Whoever put it together had a real passion for telling and showing the story.

Walked in with very low expectations, one of those, "the 15 y/o wants to see it so I will take one for the team" moments.
Left the movie gushing about how good it was. A friend of mine described it as delightful, I thought that was a very good word to describe it.

Saw it last night with my daughter. Her second time in a week. Liked it. Didn’t think I would

I went in there last week looking at my wife thinking, dangit, cartoon? Kids and everyone loved it. I thought it was OK.

Peter Porker.... Lol!
Saw it over the Christmas break with my son. I thought it was quite good. Too loud in the theater for me though.

Wow....I guess I am really not in the current groove of movies.
Wife wanted to see it....in 3D no less, it was easily, far and away the worst movie I can recall seeing. I just wanted to leave, but instead I fell asleep after 30 minutes. I asked for a refund as a joke, but the theatre manager only smiled wanly and said some people enjoyed....we were 2 in a group of perhaps 30 people in a theatre that held at least 300. Complete waste of time, coupled with very, very, very poor animation and extraordinarily poor plot and story line. If this thing wins anything, it should be worst movie of the decade and/or good reasoning why very senior citizens with credible writing history should not be allowed near a pen in their twilight years. I've seen it 3 times now, second in 3D and third in standard format on a very big screen with excellent sound system.
Third was easily the best viewing. This movie needs a huge screen and big sound.

The worst thing of not having television is missing movie previews
I honestly didn’t know this existed. I’ll catch it next week when I’m in Pleasanton CA for the week. Not much to do there Thanks. |

Same with me vash, no TV, but 2-3 Sundays a month we are out for dinner and a movie (Annabelle Gurwitch 20 years ago, yum!) so there's previews and therefore movies to keep an eye out for on youtube. I've been waiting for a year now for Alita Battle Angel to come out, finally in February after 2 release date postponements.
I spent a good 20 minutes calling theaters and asking for seating capacity of the theater Spider Man is in to find the biggest screen. Definitely put a moment into finding the biggest screen the standard format movie is showing on.

Here's the trailer from 1 year ago. There have been several over the year and the newest ones take a more scifi tack over romantic, i.e. the literary form
The original story was manga Early/Pre-release news ‘Alita: Battle Angel’ Early Buzz: People Love Robert Rodriguez’s Weird-Looking Sci-Fi Epic
