Seahawk, thanks. That's on the list as we will spend a night in San Juan. We fly in and out of San Jaun, so some touring around there will happen.

I was going to suggest making other plans, but I don't think that's what you want to hear so I'll just wish you a good time without problems.
And don't forget the DEET.

The Condado had some nice eateries that the teenagers will enjoy. If you're driving watch your six and your three and your nine, heck it's just like driving in any US city.

I spent almost a year there with a SeaBee battalion in 1970. If you get the chance, drive up to Pico del Este thru the rain forest. Some great scenery! There used to be a pretty good little restaurant part way up that wasn't fancy but had good food! If you go into San Juan, go with a group. We discovered that some places could be kinda dangerous for one or two!

I'll try and download some pic when I get back home.

UCI mtb bike race took place literally in back yard of our airbnb. International riders from from all over. Got to watch practice riding with Marshals at longest, steepest downhill! Wish I would have brought my pedals and gear to ride!

I'm no surfer, but the guys and gals ripping out there pretty good, I think. I can spend hours just watching them and chilling to the sounds of the waves woth some cervesas. Lots of Spicoli looking dudes around here. Looks like a awesome sport, but never going to happen for this 50 yo Midwesterner. 😎

People are awesome. Lots of run down, 3rd word looking structures alongside beautiful 'compounds' like we are in. The Surf Break. No panhandlers. Excellent food trucks.

According to locals here, very little crime. That takes place over in San Juan. But, only a matter of time as Rincon becomes more touristy as it has been becoming in last 5-7 years, we will become 'easy fish' as my new amigo Andy says. His firshand stories of the hurricane Maria is worth another thread.

Weather, spectacular! 85/70. Water temp 80?

I'd comeback again, but fly into Aguadada instead of San Jaun. Roads and stop lights get annoying.

You don't look any different than the surfers around here today. Have poor internet so downloading photos not happening, but I'm right near here.

UCI mtb bike race took place right behind you yesterday.
