Chicken noodle soup makes things better

Why and how does it work?

I was sick as a dog last night and opened a can of Campbell's and I felt better later on. I'm out of soup and need to get more.

I don't need to be sick to do that...I love all sorts of soups. I think it's mild, soft food that settles the stomache, and eases the mind....better with crackers crushed up in it !

Bryan, did your mom give you Campbell's chicken noodle when you were sick when you were a kid (mine did)? I'll bet that's at least part of the reason why.

Prolly because we ( Murican's) see it as comfort food. I love good soup but even out-da-can like Campbell's is fine. It's simple to prepare, just heat it up - boom! you're ready.

I'm not a big fan of broth soups.
I do love a good thick split green pea soup..yumm!!

You heat it up?

My mother always made Chicken soup with a Kosher chicken and matza balls.
It’s called Jewish penicillin for a reason. I make It from her receipe.

Progresso for me but I always drain a bit of their broth and replace it with my homemade salt free broth.

We save our carcasses and make a bone broth. Now that will cure what ails ya!

I never could stomach Campbell’s soups. Not even as a kid. As an Adult I realized it’s probably the salt.

My recent pressure cooker purchase changed my chicken noodle soup profoundly.
