My Tax Return is a Little Smaller This Year...But the Glass is Still Half Full :)
Just finished my taxes. I haven't transmitted yet because I am going to try and redo deducting state sales tax instead of income tax. I don't track my sales taxes but since I bought a new car this year I believe that my sales tax was higher than my state income tax.
Of course, I have explained to many friends that refunds may be smaller simply because many of us had our pay checks lowered at the beginning of the year due to lower withholding. That said, I am still getting enough to buy myself a present and I just did that. I bought a QuickJack BL5000SLX. I'm really looking forward to trying this out because the Cayman is a pain to jack up - it has crappy jack points for placing jack stands. To make matters worse, I just bought some very nice jack stands with big rubber pucks as to not damage the body and underbody coverings but my floor jack won't go high enough to get those things under the car - ugg. I will probably still use axle stands with this as I don't love the angled supports, even though it has a locking bar to keep it from falling (and the hydraulic thing). It won't be delivered for about a week but the pics below show what I'm talking about: Excited :) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1549841767.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1549841797.jpg |
Before I had kids, I used to dread seeing what I owed. Now, I can't seem to claim enough allowances on my W4 not to get way too much back.

I can only pay less this year. No more Obamafine.
I have not met with my CPA yet since I did not hear from him in December with a, spend some money on business purchases, call, I think I am OK. I max out my wife and my IRA's every year regardless. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk |
