Getting rid of some die cast
I have too much crap. I've been downsizing since we moved to our new home a year ago, and now I'm taking a hard look at the hundreds of models I have and don't need. Most of them came to me as samples from Danbury and Franklin Mint. I'm thinning the herd. In a way I hate to see it go. I mean, it's my stuff! But it just sits and collects dust and it's time for a new chapter in my life. I'm doing it through Craig's list because I don't want to pack this stuff up and ship it. I sold 9 NIB model kits for $100 last week and it's kind of satisfying to see open space on the shelves

Wow! Great collection !!
i'm looking for a late 30's Ford Cabover or Sunbeam S7 Motorcycle......... |
There is a family down the road that home schools their 5 kids. Money is tight.
I took down and gave them my old 1970's metal Tonka Trucks. First thing out of the kids mouth was, WOW these toys are Heavy. they're toys to be played with. |
Fantastic collection with great pieces. Wow. You could try Ebaying it if you are a glutton for punishment. Too bad there isn’t a general car lovers for sale section on Pelican.
I have about 50 matchbox cars from the sixties which are somewhat collectible. I will give them to my grandson to play with. When I am dead, I don’t care where they are as long as they are being enjoyed. If his parents don’t want them then I will donate them to a shelter for women and children. But your stuff is so nice I would have a tough time letting go |
Very cool! Any Bay Window VW bus ones? :)
|
Is that a Li'l Red Express under the tractors?
|
I like how all the F1 cars have historical significance. And it that light blue VW bug an original Tonka? Nice collection Patrick!
|
I dig the F1 cars. Nice how they are all replicas of real cars, and not just generic made-up livery. Very cool.
|
I'm interested in the cream colored Suburban and if you have a DM 1936 Packard

I followed F1 closely in the 60s and 70s. I saw all of those guys and all those cars at Watkins Glenn in '72 or '73. I so remember the first practice run of the morning of race day at the Glenn. Waking up to a breakfast of warm beer and cold hot dogs with the sound of a single DFV screaming in the distance, echoing off the trees, and suddenly blasting through the fog. Good times. No, GREAT times. |
How much for the formula cars?
|
^^
Sold - $60. |
I came across these ceramic Stromberg 48 carburetor mugs while going through stuff. They are glazed ceramic and just a little larger than the real thing. I have 3 to sell. They are going up on eBay tomorrow (March 6). I will sell them for $10 each plus shipping if anybody wants one. They are kind of cool, and perfect for that full scale ceramic '34 Ford in your garage.

The Good Humor truck is exactly as I remember them as a kid! Way cool.
|
Definitely a cool collection, I too have a soft spot for Little Red Express.

Nothing is safe from the small-scale die-cast cabal!
Random thought - if I was going to manufacture plows, I think I'd name my company Excalibur. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1551979310.jpg |
