Mini Cree on Amazon... it'll do what you're wanting to do too. You're only talking 30 or 40 yards which again really isn't that far. Now, if you were wanting to shine 80-100 yards or more then I'd look for something up the price scale.

These are what I carry when I'm hunting just in case I have to blood trail at night.

100' is pretty easy for most flashlights if you're just trying to shine eyes.

Thanks....I'll check that one out too! Actually want both...subtle illumination of eyes....and brighter than the sun if I want too :)

How many lights will I have tomorrow?

Still less than Vash ;)

So there's hope for my son then! 17 years old hasn't seen a flashlight he didn't want to buy (or me to buy for him as the case might be).

You've given me hope that sometime between now and when I'm dead, he might get over this obsession with flashlights.

On the plus side, he's why I found the mini cree lights that I carry in my pocket when I'm hunting.

Costco when they are on sale. Though I did have one go bad on me.

I'm goin' by Harbor Freight, ordering a 3-pack from Amazon, and pickin' up some fresh batteries for vash....

Perfect!

OK....I'm back. This light would perfect...but I don't like the width of the light beam...I want something that throws out a narrow beam....would be OK with less light...trade-off if necessary.

I want to "reach out" 100' & spot eyes without widely illuminating Sherwood Forrest.

Any other suggestions....or has it already been suggested earlier?

Gash, Vash, or Bozo....one of you clowns knows the answer :)

Thanks all!

This is what you want: Emisar D1s
You can get it a bit cheaper from the source here, but will wait longer for shipping.

I've purchased from both, and they are both GTG. I'd opt for the neutral or warm tint...YMMV there, but I have the light above in 5A tint, and it's excellent.
You will eek out a tiny bit better output from the cool white, but I am happy to trade off a very slight dip in output in exchange for a more eye-pleasing tint and better color rendition.
Serious little "pocket" thrower for $40 (or less).

Thanks E!

Sure you want a narrow beam thrower? Not really usable in most situations. I have many of their lights. Great products

TN42C V2 Rechargeable LED Searchlight - ThruNite Official Store or this. I have their smaller, TN12 in everyone of my cars and one in all my workmen's tool box.

You can't go wrong with neither light. I know, not cheap, but quality stuff

Yes....at least one for a specific purpose. That Harbor Freight one is probably "it"... but am I gonna buy just one? Naw....:)

Thanks all....

Now $top :)
