Happy and Sad Fathers Day....

A few mixed feelings today.
My 11th fathers day and I am very lucky to have a son that is talented, smart and funny.
We will be getting out on the mountain bikes in a while and it will be a nice easy spin on some easier trails up and down.
It is also the first time in 56 years that I will not be able to say "Happy Fathers Day" to my dad. He passed away on April 1st after a long battle with Alzheimer's like symptoms.
I miss you dad.
Hope you fellas all have a great fathers day....

Sorry for your loss, Bill. Just remember that your Dad would want you to be happy. Celebrate his life.

I lost mine back in 1968 and think about him almost every day.

Happy Father's Day to you and everyone here!

...and you always will. Having a father in your life, a man you admire and miss after his passing, is the definition of happiness.

Celebrate the man, billybek. We are fortunate sons, and now fathers.

I am in the exact same situation, sadly missed, never forgotten, happy Father’s Day to all.

How blessed you are to have had a great dad. Be a great dad to your son. Sounds like you’re well on you way to that.
Happy Fathers Day!

With a Mother like mine you don't need a Dad...you need Geezus.

I wish my dad had been able to meet my kids. He died 5 months before my first was born.
Do I miss him?
More than I'm willing to admit.
I like to think he'd get a kick out of what his sons and their sons have done together with all the car stuff we've done.
And I'm sure his great granddaughters would be the apples of his eye as they are all cuties.

Happy Father's Day to all.

Heading over to my oldest son's place this afternoon to spend time with him and my other son. At 31 and 28 years old respectively, I cannot be more proud of my two boys. I lost my own dad when I was only 18 years old, never having gotten the chance to know him as a man. I resolved long ago that I would not do that to my two boys, and have done my level best to keep myself healthy, happy, and most of all, there for them.

Happy Fathers' Day, men, and may there be many more for each and every one of you.

I miss my dad so much it hurts. Just a random thought- he took Italian lessons so he could understand the lyrics to the opera he loved. When my brother recorded over his carefully made opera cassettes, he came home one day to find his Beatles records laying bare on the brick fireplace hearth.

I lost my dad about 30 something years ago. Maybe I left him at the post office.

Sappy but I don't care:

I have three kids of my own, but got a Fathers Day text from my nephew. Raised by a single mother, I mentored him when he was younger and is now a sergeant with a local PD, within Los Angeles.
He was getting into a little teenage trouble years ago and I talked him into going into the navy (Carrier Nimitz).
Got a phone call one night: "hi uncle Danny. I'm finding out there's a recruiters navy and the real navy" - We still chuckle over that one !

I love him as much as my own three.....

Yes Billbybek I understand where you are coming from. You were a great son to him I am sure and you will do the same for your son.
Cheers, Guy
