Holy Crap! The Raptors Won!

Not a big basketball fan but have watched the Raptors march to the final series.
Close entertaining games.
Congrats Toronto!

I said that to my son last night and I am glad that it wasn't just me that thought that.

Being a long time Spurs fan, the Spurs really screwed up when they let Leonard get away....

I am not a fan of organized games, but it is nice that the hire the best at any cost policy did not work to buy another championship.

boy; is my office in a funk.

yesterday, spirits were high, and people hopeful. my biologist even got into the spirit with a very cute (She could wear a burlap sack and make it look hot) Warrior Sweatshirt. she did not appreciate my comment, "so whens the next game?"..today, she would kick an endangered bird.

personally i dont care much. i'm too busy with my own crap...and i dont have TV. i drink to much if i camp out at the local bar with bigscreen.

I think that Leonard is still not right physically. I hope he gets healthy, but I wonder if he can.

My neighbor played a high level of BB-- semi-pro. He called it at the beginning of the season...

He commented that the Warriors started the season already tired emotionally and physically. Tons of BB in several years takes its toll. As an ex-college athlete, I can understand that.

Even with load management, vulnerability reared its ugly head. Especially soft tissue vulnerability.

I heard one ex-player mention that during the finals press coverage, even before Durant got hurt.

It will be interesting to see if that is discussed more in the press during the coming months, and if load management becomes a hot topic next year.

Leonard may have set a new trend sitting out last year.

I enjoy watching him, but he still does not look completely healthy to me.

Most of the Warriors talent was home grown, until they got Durant and Cousins (for a bargain price injured). Then they had to pay big bucks to keep the team together, which is probably wise from an overall business standpoint. They really have an embarrassment of riches in talent, much more so after they got Durant. Personally, I liked them better before Durant was there with Curry and Thompson blowing away the NBA with 3-point shooting and Green in the defense. With Durant, they're too overwhelming. So he'll be out for a year, and likely to move on, anyway. Still an exciting team!

It was over when Mr Thompson blew his knee. Mr Durant should never have been cleared to play.

Heck of a series though

Edmonton did, but then they traded a national treasure to a foreign country.

Curry is apparently a bit of a Porschephile.

The Warriors owner appears to be a major Porsche lover... he was at RRVI. I will never forget standing in the paddock just outside the tent where he was hanging out when a bunch of 917/10 and 917/30 cars came through.

I know a guy that works at Canepa and takes care of a bunch of these cars very cool.

But I get nervous when so many running cars are packed into a small piece of asphalt.

The Warriors owner was sitting right next to an unrestored 500 Spyder at the time. That car had some Patina...

Seemed to me that the Warriors owner was really into being at RRVI, just like most everyone else I saw.

Two pretty cool days for fans of major league pro sport,
the Blues & the Raptors winning their first championships on successive days.

Cheers

Basketball, invented by a Canadian working in the USA is finally won by a Canadian team with US players.

Not putting miles on your car is like not having sex with your girlfriend, so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.
