But he is just one man. FloriDUH has thousands of men and women at that level of crazy. FloriDUH is still at the head of the class and a solid number one for crazy.

Being a resident of Florida, and having been on fark.com (Its Not News, its Fark! where Florida is the only state with its own tag) about as long as I've been here, there is plenty of crazy to go around.

The Economist actually did a study, and it turns out that Ohio Man gets into some really weird stuff.

I just don't see how Floriduh can have more crazies, illiterates, leftists than California.

I don't think they do, but the crazies in florida seem to be less inhibited about it.

maybe there are enough normal people in Floriduh that the crazies stand out, here in California you have to get out of the bigger cities to find normal people. those crazies don't stand out.

isnt it just because Florida has a law that allows their crimes and events accessible to news media outlets? all States are crazy. only FL allows us access.

That's exactly what it is. Reporters scour the local arrest reports everyday and come up with the "woman arrested for throwing burrito at boyfriend" type stories. Many of the local news channels play along and come up with the funny, creative headlines.

Only in certain places can they do that. If he tried that in my neighborhood, there's a good chance he wouldn't make it to the next block.

Well, having 10.4 percent of the population being convicted felons probably isn't helping.

The chart isn't the percent of felons. It's the percent who can't vote because of having a felony conviction. Florida has the strictest law on that. Other states may have more felons, but they allow many of them to vote. Florida is not even in the top 10 States for incarceration per capita:
