My buddy has a white one. Rocket ship.

What was list price?

KNS 06-27-2019 04:22 PM

Curious... Why did you sell? What did you like/not like about the car?

RWebb 06-27-2019 04:52 PM

lack of a power rear hatch kills it as a parts runner...

I think it paid 100 grand or so for it. First R in Washington.

That is about whst my friend paid. It is damn nice. He loves the car and raves about the service he gets. He has a 4 door also. Not sure of the model.

I had my fun with it. At almost 5 years old it is starting to develop Jag leprosy. Little trim bits are loose, had a taillight go out (1100 bucks!). Diff seeped (replaced under warranty) Diff motor failed (replaced under warranty). Side window and roof seal sagged (replaced under warranty). Speaker rattles (replaced under warranty).

It's fast, comfortable, beautiful but I didn't want to play anymore. Retired a few months back and don't drive it anyway.

Bought a 2019 4Runner TRD Pro this afternoon. Never had an SUV and an indestructible, armored vehicle was appealing.:)

I still have an Alfa Romeo, BMW and a Porsche when I want fast or expensive to fix!

Nice! And so practical...

R’s are nice but E’s are BEAUTIFUL! We have an XJS conv. Drives like a dream - WHEN - it runs!

Great looking car. I fear for Jaguar's future...so many warning signs....

I have a 1989 XJ6 that I can't even give away:rolleyes:

Really, weird. I'd assume they'd have a following. I rode in one once. I was surprised, it was nicer and more powerful than I expected.

Wow, you're really selling me on it! :D:D

The XJ40 were the worst of the XJ6 line. The last of the Sedans before Ford bought Jaguar. They are virtually worthless for a reason :-)

I am about to hit 75,000 miles on my 2009.

Tires, battery, fluids, filter, one coolant part; just regular maintenance in the car's entire life.

That reminds me of how i went to pick up my rebuilt 911 engine
full block... in my 924... that 924 hatch is so wide.. it takes so much stuff that very few cars apart from a pickup can take
