Ahoy Tweeze and Porsche For life.
Hey you two, haven't seen much of either of youz around here for some time now.
Miss that stoke of yours Tweeze. And wondering how your dads car is coming along. Do I remember correctly that your mom had some work done on it and gave it to you? Hope so, and that you are both enjoying some mountain carving in it these days. Seems like your boys are about ripe for the Porsche bug. What da scoop? Cheers Richard |

Sid posted a few weeks back; I think he peeks in every week or so, but he's kinda moved on. This place has definitely changed. I miss those days back in the day.

Porscheforlife reported in on my recent thread about the north shore drive of Oahu a few days ago. Seems he, and assumably tweeze were here in June. Wish I had known.

I think it's pretty normal for people to move in & out of phases of their lives, and probably they are doing this just like lots have before. I wish them and anybody else who moves on to new territory the best of luck. On the other hand, there are lots of long time participants who are still around, and that's super great too. It's like having friends who move to another state and those who stay in the neighborhood. It's all good.

Yeesh... I slow down a little on posting and you guys act like we done died or something!
We are still around! Just busy with kids, work, car projects, and some major home renovations. Don’t have time to hang here as much. And I have to admit that when I do check in, I find less threads I want to respond to these days... And as for the car, well I’ll let Thuy share that news.

Sorry, we had a full agenda when we were there so I didn’t make any posts looking to connect with anyone.

A couple of years ago, when I was being assigned overseas and had to park the 911 and 986, I asked a couple of questions about long-term storage. A couple of the responses were from some unhelpful trolls. I started missing the good old days at that time.

Thanks for the reply Sid. Do you still have that well setup 944?
Nice clean example. I hear you about being busy, those years with kids can be pretty busy. Tell thuy aloha for me. Looking forward to hearing how it's going with her dad's car Cheers Richard |

Sooooooo... I tried to post on the "I am going to be eaten alive" thread and none of my posts are showing up. I have been banned from my own thread. Ha ha!
Anyway, thanks for checking up on me and the car, Richard. I am happy to say that my mom has gotten the car to run and that Sidney and I have had the pleasure of being able to take the boys for a spin in it from time to time. The aesthetics are still lacking but I appreciate the opportunity to ride in it with the boys. I blast Fleetwood Mac and tell stories about when I was a kiddo riding in the back like they are. We share memories and stories of my father too. It's been nice. We even took the family dog in it and I think he enjoyed the wind in his fur with the targa off. My mom is bugging Sidney to take her "practicing" in it. She hasn't driven a manual since I have been alive so she needs to get back in the saddle. That makes me nervous for her safety but you only live once and I want her to enjoy the car while she can. I don't know the future of the Green Grinch but for right now I am grateful that the boys and I have the opportunity to share the experience at least a couple of times and they get to at least try to understand why I have such an attachment to the car. |

WOOHOO! Great pic of all your boys in the green grinch, ha.
So glad to hear that the car is not turning to dust in the driveway, really looks pretty good in the pic. Great that you and the boys are having the opportunity to experence your Dad's car and make new memories in it for the future! Nice to hear from you again too, Tweeze. Hope you got some waves while in Hi recently, and had a good time. I'm just wrapping up a six week visit myself. Magic here on Kauai North shore. Really good spending the time with our boys too. 😃 Cheers Richard |
