200K ls 430

I was feeling all hot schisse Saturday when my 2002 ls 430 rolled over 200,000 miles. And then I got the new Road & Track today and they highlighted a 1996 ls400 with a million miles. Sure deflated my bubble!

It took a while for me to figure out what you are saying.

When I see "my 2002" I'm thinking BMW.
lS is a modernized Chevy 265 engine.

I guess it's generational.

So is the Lexis the fancy Datsun or the fancy Toyota?

Congrats on 200k miles though. That's a lot of seat time!

Think that's bad, For a second I thought 430 was 4:30, and that was the new 4:20 pot reference, and that someone made 200k selling pot.

I was thinking I would never pay 200k for a ls anything.

Where is Odd Job to interpret for us?

200K miles is really nothing nowadays. I cracked 220K on my Jetta last year. Its from 2006.

As you learned, you only have another 750,000 miles to have something to brag about with that dead reliable Toyota ;)

I recall in the "old" days, both Volvo and MB would offer grille badges for significant mileage milestones. That seemed to go away in the 1980s as so many more cars became able to rack up the miles.

Ha! I read 430 and thought Ferrari. Wow, 200K miles on a late-model F-car. That would be impressive!

I am at 366,400 on my El Camino. Only 174,000 on my 911.

Most of us geezers remember growing up and 100,000 miles was like a magic number, the car was just worn out and used up at 100K. Now 200K is just getting warmed up. My original 305 in the El Camino only went 300,000 miles and it was worn out. I dropped in a new, not rebuilt, or re-manufactured, but brand new 350 from GM for $1,700 delivered to my driveway. You can't pay to do the machine work to rebuild a engine for $1,700.

I am coming after you OP!! My 2007 FJ Cruiser is about to turn 180K miles on it.

I am still waiting for something to go wrong with it. To date only an alternator has been needed. And a rear axle seal which was my fault for trying to put synthetic oil in it.

I hope my old girl will last me another 20 years and 220K miles.

I'm at 76,000 on my 2016 Toyota 4runner and 186K on my 911.
I fully expect the 4runner to get me over the 500K mark here in the next decade. Toyota / Lexus really build amazing cars.

200,000 miles is the new 75,000 miles. ;)

176k on my 2012 fi150 5.0. Zero maintenance. Still has the original belt on it. Oil changes only

I also have a LS430, 2006 vintage. Only rolled over 90k last week, but really racking up the miles now my commute is about 25 miles each direction.

The MPG's leave something to be desired but otherwise it's a luxury ride with a smooth, powerful V8...exactly what I was looking for.

Is your name Austin Danger Powers by any chance? :D

I did a belt change at 70K miles per Toyotas instructions and went with a Dayco (Autozone off the shelf) belt and was told on forums it would not last as long as a OEM belt.

I wanted to leave it on but it was on my mind as I was about to leave for Key West in July last year, so I changed with with another Dayco belt at 160K miles. It looked good still with 90K miles on it, it is now my spare belt tucked in the storage bin in tha back, just in case.
