Keep dreamin....

Since I've done it with both...I can tell you with 100% certainty that I'd do this job faster with my T750 than you could ever dream of doing it with a backhoe. I don't care who your operator is, he's automatically at a disadvantage from a maneuverability standpoint. There is no backhoe that will do this job faster than a track skid steer would do it. I know... I've used both.

I just sold a 2012 5610 (has 3 point with PTO rather than a dump bed) with 1100 hours for 32K and that was the cheapest one listed anywhere on the internet that I could find.

Think green, cab.

You must suck at running a backhoe then... :D

Hydraulics, Brothers.

I have been working this 1/2 mile of gravel road for 23 years. Key is, have fun and learn. I certainly have. Rent the gear Cab recommended and enjoy. A skid steer wit a mission is so bueno.

A bobcat is may be something that seems like fun, if you’ve never run any equipment in your entire life, but it’s about the last piece of equipment that some of us would buy. Hell, even a backhoe could knock this out in half the time it would take a bobcat.

A tractor with a loader and a blade is just about all we see unless access is tight. Bobcats make more ruts on dirt than they do smooth but are really really good on hard surfaces where they can, well, skid.

I have to go with JD.

That float feature sounds really helpful.
I've spent a couple of hours the last two mornings spreading and trying to level a couple of large truckloads of fill dirt over some uneven places here at my place.

I was using a small tractor with FEL, using the edge of the bucket to back drag the dirt. This required some deft touch on the controls while backing over the dips and bumps. It was a slow process for this no talent opperator.

Using a large drag rake behind the zero turn did a good job finishing it off, for now at any rate. I expect some settling as rain and time settle it in.

Sunbelt rentals? I'm serious about the finder fee. This time of year I can never buy enough toolcats. I have a Buyer in WA. and TX both looking now. The 5610 I got in was listed on Thursday and sold by Saturday.

Do I have to buy an RV to visit :) Your pad looks amazing! I haven't connected with many here on PP the last 10 years or so. Life gets complicated. I certainly would enjoy buying you a beer some day when I am in your neighborhood again.

Hola

For everything else, there's always the Home Depot parking lot crew!

^^^^
I think you can rent that crew for less than the cost of a Bobcat too!

There's a hurricane that supposed to head up the east coast. Wait to see if it does any of the work for you!

I would run rings around a backhoe with a good skiddy also. Sometimes 'size doesn't matter' ;)

But I'd beat you both with my mini-excavator (36" bucket) and it's dozer blade......
