Dylanesque, anyway. Bob started his song like this:

"Johnny's in the basement
Mixing up the medicine
I'm on the pavement
Thinking about the government"

WTF is this thread about if it ain't Dylan? That's why I clicked ;)....

Don't need a weatherman to know which way the wind blows.

Mumble mumble (guitar music)

Look out kid
it's somethin' that you did, god knows when
but you're doin' it again.

Those of us of a certain age and temperament gratefully remember these lyrics.( grateful we remember much of anything)

Probably the first rap:)

Loved this guy from the mid '60's. Great lyrics (forget the voice)

Really like "Time Out Of Mind" from the late '90's.

Never seen him though.

The poet of our generation. Strange guy, but I love his music. I kind of lost track of his music after "Blood on the Tracks." Life started getting in the way of a lot of things about then.

The talented Bob Zimmerman.

Lots of talent from Hibbing, MN:
Dylan
Roger Maris
Kevin McHale
Gary Puckett

If you expand it to the rest of the state, you can include Prince and the Coen brothers, Eddie Cochran, Jessica Lange, the list goes on and on...

Funny.

Don't know the OPs intent, but I am a Bob Dylan fan (from around age ten I would guess) so I always welcome the opportunity:

Just a bit above an average song, but he made a lot of great music after Blood on the Tracks.

Joe Biden

I guess Jon B. doesn't get it. Oh well, 9 years as member and 629 posts, he can't be counted on to read.

Mr. Biden is a good man. I thought that was a pretty harmless little poke at a public figure well know for misquotes.

I agree. The OP misquotes Dylan in a way that is reminiscent of several politicians, including Biden and the guy who said, “Fool me twice...won’t get fooled again.” :)

God said, Abraham, kill me a son. Abe said, god, you must be putting me on. God said no, Abe said what, god said you can do what you want to but, the next time you see me coming, you’d better run...
