Always wondered what happened to OF. I had bought stuff from the before and I seriously thought Parts Heaven closed a LONG time ago!

You have to wonder if the newer cars are just not lending themselves to being salvaged and rebuilt in the same way the earlier cars were?

I had a lot of fun going to PH on Saturdays, I bought a lot of parts from them, including new. I spent $700 on a new dash for the SC, from Porsche that is. You were treated like family, took only a couple visits for them to remember your name. They were also always letting you have a look in the back what's on the butcher block.

Some of their inventory indeed went to the guys in Sparks, but I think it is largely sold off.

If I needed a NLA part for the 993, I would not know where to go. Maybe Ebay!?

I never purchased anything from them. But my first introduction to Freddie. They ran an ad in Excellence and Pano with Freddie and a black RS clone he built. To bad they are closing.

Greedy inflated price gouging?
Rip-off crack pipe prices?
Greedy pigs get slaughtered?

Really, really miss PH and their swaps. I used to run up there on half days from work in SJ. If they knew what you were about, they’d show you the “pile” and let you rummage. Loved digging around looking for treasures I didn’t know I needed.

They were a great operation. I always made time to drive to Hayward when in SFO on business. Friendly staff and they would allow me to just browse around on the second floor. Also- there were some unreal Taco trucks in their Office Park. (Lengua! Tripas!)

We had it good in the Bay Area for a long time, EASY and Partsheaven. I had over a $1000 credit for two transmissions I gave them and never knew they closed until it was too late.
