Top Shot - on Prime
We were watching top shot. As far as reality TV it is decent and they have some pretty interesting weapons.
Then we get to season 3. Jake is a former Seal. My 9 year old son said he bets the Seal teams are glad he is former because he doesn't know what a team is. Our 17 year old daughter said she hoped the Navy released a statement at the time it originally aired that he is "former". I thought he is a disgrace to them for how he handles "teamwork", sleeping outside by himself and his deal with the second trip to the elimination challenge. I would not want him on my team as I odn't know how anyone could trust him to have their back. Coward and wimp as far as I am concerned. </End rant here> |

Are there new seasons? I watched the old ones on History(?) when they first aired and found them pretty engaging.
|
Prime has the old ones. I hadn't seen them in a long time so we were re-watching them.

Entertaining show with interesting challenge's. Agree with the Op on the seal.
He seems very self absorbed and arrogant. |
It would be an awesome job to be the one that tests the challenges before they are setup for the competitors.

You guys know that these shows are scripted, right? That may be a former seal, but he may just play the script to get you excited - looks like it worked. ;)

I don't think Forged in Fire is as scripted as the other reality shows.

Top Shot eh? So this is best shot with a rifle or something? I ask because my wife would win it, and if there is money changing hands, she would actually do it.
|
It was $100k for winning the "competition". They used everything from throwing knives to 50BMG to at ladles to long bows.

She can't throw worth a damn, bad shoulders from the gymnastic career, not bad with a bow or a pistol though
|
The rocks would have done her in then!
