Why aren’t Sasquatch’s on the protected species list?

Sasquatch sightings are rare. A few people on this forum have seen them so we know they exist.

The scientific community is unsure how many exist but it can’t be many.

Why aren’t they on the protected species list?

Has a Sasquatch body ever been displayed in public?

It's never happened so there's your answer.

Exact same reason Unicorns are not on the list.

There is on one single hair, much less a patch or fur, no bones, teeth, or the slightest bit of evidence. Just lots of blurry images and people claiming they saw it.

The most famous movies have the suits and the people involved admitting it was all a hoax. Guys have come forward with big wooden "feet" they used to fake the footprints.

Lots and lots of people make money (clue) taking people into the woods to "hunt" for them, and sell t-shirts and other souvenirs. Just like Loch Ness, the stores love to sell every sort of Nessy model and shirt or hat.

It is all about politics.

The Spotted Owl lobby is populated by a gang of anti Samsquanch dill holes

They are not on the endangered list because their range and numbers are large. They have been seen from the Pacific NW to Texas/Ok and into the SE states. Their primary food source is the spotted owl which has led to the severe loss of spotted owl populations. The Yeti from the Himalayan mountains is a Sasquatch wearing a snow leopard fur coat. One reason the snow leopard has such low populations. They have to keep warm.

The official FWS stance is that this is due to Anthropogenic Global Warming as well as urban sprawl and human encroachment in inland Oregon and Washington State where the Sasquatch population is believed to be most prevalent in the U.S. FWS scientists estimate there may be fewer than three dozen Sasquatches remaining in both states combined. The total number of these legendary bi-urnal bipeds in the Canadian province of British Columbia may be double that, although much reduced from historic highs in the thousands only two centuries ago, according to the FWS.

“The very paucity of Sasquatch sightings in our own lifetimes is evidence of human carelessness and disregard,” Ms. Faroosh said. “We share this earth with other species who have every right to exist here, and our actions should reflect our appreciation of that fact.” The spokesperson went on to say that a majority of the land best suited for Sasquatch habitat is currently under private ownership, but that with the new ruling, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is empowered to take control of those lands and place them under a federal management program designed to restore endangered populations to previous levels. “The fewer sightings there are, the stronger the proof of our negligence as a society,” Ms. Faroosh said. “It is the Sasquatch children who suffer most.”

Sources confirm that Canadian authorities have been approached by the FWS regarding a joint effort in land management benefitting the Sasquatch. Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon of British Columbia, whose province is believed by U.S. government environmental scientists to be home to the largest population of sasquatches in North America, has failed to respond so far, other than handing out copies of the FWS letter during a holiday party. Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper has issued no official response, but was inadvertently caught on camera rolling his eyes during a telephone communication on the issue with the FWS director’s office, say sources close to the prime minister.

When the subject of general skepticism among the public in regards to the existence of the Sasquatch was broached, Ms. Faroosh responded that some people still deny the existence of Global Warming and the Holocaust. “We can’t be good stewards of the Earth if we’re willing to allow the fringe element in our society to govern our actions,” Ms. Faroosh said. “These people couldn’t care less about the plight of certain species or the health of the planet, and it behooves true Americans to ignore the rhetoric of hate that continuously emanates from those quarters.” Ms. Faroosh went on to assert that sasquatches, or “these gentle giants of the Great Northwest” are “people too,” endowed with “the desire to provide the best for their children” essentially the same as humans.

The White House also issued a statement late Friday afternoon indicating that President Obama looks forward to a bipartisan solution to the problem of dwindling Sasquatch habitat. “The president will consider any ideas as long as they are balanced,” the statement said.

They have all moved to Florida. Easier winters, cheap rents, it makes sense.

Quickly they integrated with the locals and became hard to tell identify. They say one was seen recently leaving Walmart with a case of beers but that can't be verified.

True story. Took the MMPI to work at a Nuclear Power plant.

A couple of weeks after the exam I get called in to review my results with a shrink.

I pass. He looks likes Woody Allen with the sweater thrown over his shoulder.
He says "You're in." I passed the 300 questions in text.
One of the questions was "Is their anything you would never talk about?"
He says that I am ok to work at the Nuke Plant but tell me about this one thing you don't want to discuss.

So I tell him about running into Bigfoot.
Don't laugh.... It happened.

We, my older sister and three friends with a full grown German Shepard were hiking through a forest in a remote northern part of Calif.
Why? Summer and my father had a two week job at a real remote Hydro-Electric Power House.
We stayed at a cabin next to the other family's cabin.
One day we found a pond. A dead horse had been dragged up to the pond.
As we pondered the dead horse (double pun), the dog started growling and staring out at the pond. The pond was maybe 100 feet across and murky.
All of a sudden a huge creature emerged out of the middle of the pond. Slowly, total hairy and a sheen on the facial hair. Big. Easy, twice as big as a grown man.
It stood there, chest high looking at us and the dog retreated which scared us and we went running for our lives.
Every year when I visit my sister we recall what happened and know nobody will ever believe us, so we laugh. It was a Bigfoot.

The shrink let me work at the Nuclear Plant and had to wonder about it.

SALEM, Ore. — The first dead bull was found in a timbered ravine in eastern Oregon. There was no indication it had been shot, attacked by predators or eaten poisonous plants. The animal's sex organs and tongue had been removed. All the blood was gone.

In the next few days, four more Hereford bulls were found within 1.5 miles in the same condition. There were no tracks around the carcasses. Ranch management and law enforcement suspect that someone killed the bulls. Ranch hands have been advised to travel in pairs and to go armed.

Ever since the bulls were found over several days in July, Harney County Sheriff's Deputy Dan Jenkins has received many calls and emails from people speculating what, or who, might be responsible.

The theories range from scavengers such as carrion bugs eating the carcasses to people attacking the animals to cause financial harm to ranchers. One person suggested that Jenkins look for craters underneath the carcasses, saying it would be evidence the bulls had been levitated into a spaceship, mutilated, and then dropped back to the ground.
