Doctor Sleep

The story of Danny Torrance....40 years after 'The Shining'
Lots of links to the original...makes a good follow-up story.
I liked it a lot.
Ewan McGregor was great...but Carl Lumbly played his part incredibly good.

Not sure I want to race to a theater for this one. There are a few out now I am willing to wait for them to arrive on streaming services to see, this is one of them.

I like the premise of the movie, I would want to watch the Shining before seeing this one.

Oh, and here are some cool facts about the making of it.

Not necessary to have seen 'The Shining' beforehand...but it would help to understand.
It's just a real good thriller/horror movie that is very well made. :)
