From bad to bizare for the NJ Devils
 

As I've said before, when the team is having a bad season, you can't fire the whole team so you fire the coach. In NY we used to have a joke:
Question: Name 5 managers for the NY Yankees
Answer: Billy Martin

Well, they fired John Hynes in December and now the GM Shero is given the heave ho. They'll be firing the fans next!

Its clear last season's step forward was an aberration. There are major holes on this roster and the Subban trade wasn't going to fill them.

I have no words. Well OK maybe a few. When they moved from the Meadowlands to Newark and were clearly focused on the business of hockey rather than the quality of hockey they really hit the skids.
