3 Point Superhero Stance
Why do they all do it? You can't really launch an attack or defend yourself properly from there. You can rush the passer, but that's about it.
And let's not get all PARFY with it! This is a serious discussion! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1582208562.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1582208591.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1582208603.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1582208693.jpg |
I wonder if Scarlett J. is left handed.

I believe the reason that you normally see them in that position is that they've just "landed" from some jump, fall, acrobatics, etc...

Hey, if you could make an entrance like that into a fight, as opposed to just walking up casually, what would you do? Superheroes are supposed to be a bit flamboyant. |
They're just cranking out a good fart.

Yer Welcome.

1) 3 point stances are more stable than 2 points.
2) You can either land with your weapon elevate and ready (projectile or laser weapons), or with your weapon stable against the ground, protected from theft (knife, sword) 3) Small cross section upon landing, possibly well hidden by a fortuitously knocked over table. And, if you wanna monkey roll, you gotta hit the ground in a squat anyways, so do the "3 Point Superhero into Monkey Roll Combo" and you automatically win at life. |
Because it looks cool.

But, if you wear a cape do you do the three-point?
Seems the cape would drape in a less than dramatic manner. All above are cape-less. |

That's hot. |
Exceptions to every rule. Then again, is there a pose where she wouldn't be?

The three-point landing is annoying. But what I don't understand is why the CGI monsters or other animals sort of rear back a little just before they strike. They also rore.
When you see the dragon pull his head back and rore RUN! It's stuff like that makes it all look unbelievable. |
