Okay, how many of you saw "Vegas Buffet" and immediately thought of Tabs.

Like it says, first thing I thought, likewise with Denis, and everyone else that responded to that thread.

sc_rufctr 03-10-2020 06:37 PM

lol... Tabs the Renaissance man.

Dantilla 03-10-2020 06:42 PM

Yup!

Por_sha911 03-10-2020 07:03 PM

Why? Are the buffets now claiming to be geniuses and predicting eminent global economic collapse?

Crowbob 03-10-2020 07:03 PM

TABS: The polymath's polymath!

Crowbob 03-10-2020 07:10 PM

But really, somebody needs to check in him once in a while. Seeing the buffet at the Venetian cordoned off with those velvet ropes might be too much of a shock to the system. Plus, rumor has it, he has spoons.

red-beard 03-10-2020 07:29 PM

I have actually been to a Buffet with Tabs

Bill Douglas 03-10-2020 07:46 PM

Yep, everyone is good at something and Tabs is good at, well..., Buffets.

WPOZZZ 03-10-2020 07:47 PM

I think about Tabs everyday. Everytime I leave my computer and close my windows, it says, "You are about to close tabs. Are you sure you want to do this?" I chuckle. lol

unclebilly 03-10-2020 08:05 PM

Whenever I see an old shoe on the side of the road, I think of tabs. If I knew his address, and it was safe to do so, I would pull over and pick some of these up and send them to him...

craigster59 03-10-2020 08:14 PM

Tabs is the "Chuck Norris" of buffets.

"Ain't no Coronavirus gonna keep me away from unlimited King Crab legs and Prime Rib. Hell, they might even drop the price. Then you Boyz won't know what you're missing!

Come join me, it's your choich."

What about the Unobtainium of Thrift Stores?

speeder 03-10-2020 08:28 PM

Saw it where? I started a thread about Vegas buffets and their possible effect on Tabs several hours ago.

LWJ 03-10-2020 08:51 PM

There are times I really love the brethren of PPOT. This is one.

Question? Can I see a picture of the man, the myth?

I really have wondered for a good long time: what does Tabs look like???

rusnak 03-10-2020 09:00 PM

He looks like Mother dressed him in dead guy clothes.

Seriously, I think it would be super interesting to have lunch with him. Probably one of only half a dozen people here who I'd even want to meet.

There are a few pics of Tabs floating around the forum. He is a pleasant looking person.

Bill Douglas 03-10-2020 10:14 PM

Todd (nostatic) thoroughly enjoyed his evening drinking with Tabs.

Which one is Tabs? I don't see fancy shoes, or dragon azz jeans.

rusnak 03-10-2020 10:45 PM

And to think, I was one of the people he was trying to show off his dragon azz jeans to.

I was kicked out of and banned from two different all you can eat places when I was in college.

One of my buddies has a son that is on the local football team. When they are in training and doing two a days, and he is running several miles per day on on his own my buddy said he is simply impossible to fill up. It is like Jethro on the Beverly Hillbillies. If they go to a regular restaurant he will want to order two entrees, or at a fast food place he wants 5 large hamburgers. His coach wanted him to add 10 pounds, and my buddies reply was "well then you feed him!"

They only feed him at buffets or home. He said his wife makes two pans of lasagna. One for the boy, and one for the rest of the family of 4 other people. The boy eats the leftovers of the family pan. He said there is not anything but muscle on the kid, and all the girls are lined up at his door wanting a date. He said he never though he would be jealous of his son, but he is.

Ted makes for a great dinner companion, or at least he did 15 years ago.

And this kid was supposed to thrive under Michelle's school lunch diet program?

Back a few years ago, I went to a big company conference located at a nice theater. Several of the skinny office girls were in charge of providing a lunch for all 200 employees. it was a hand full of grapes, two celery sticks, and 1/2 of a tuna salad sammich...needless to say, the vast majority of us visited the burger joint next door.

The other side of the coin is that in the midwest, many people eat like they are a massive linebacker working out all day but are actually on the couch playing video games. I've seen plenty of 400 lb. teenagers on gas stops while driving cross country. I've never seen one in 38 years of living in SoCal.

.

No, he would be well off with the lunch diet where ketchup satisfies the vegetable requirement.

>>> In California, 15.6% of youth ages 10 to 17 have obesity, giving California a ranking of only 18 out of 50 among all states <<<

Apparently, you're not looking hard enough.

You guys are maligning tabs. No great fan of him, but I do remember him posting well over a year ago that he has left the world of buffets and lost considerable weight. I consider that an intelligent move by a wise man. If true.

Weird...I also don’t see obese kids here in coastal SoCal.

No, we’re affectionately teasing Tabby.
