Our Prime minister, Trudeau, will be working from home for awhile. No one's safe from this *&%**# virus

I got word last evening from the area manager for Nova Scotia Power that all NS Power facilities will be closed to the public until further notice. That means the Tidal Power Center in Annapolis Royal where I work in the summer season will not be giving tours this year.

Wow, that's awful.

....hopefully I am not being too uncharitable if I suggest that if we must sacrifice humans to the Corona virus, I can think of far worse choices to sacrifice to that particular god than the hairpiece who masquerades as a prime minister.

Truly hope his wife and children are restored to full health with no side effects....

Sad news but this virus should remind us of how connected we are. Our planet seems so small right now. Maybe that will be a good thing in the long run.

Justin & Sophie are young and they'll get the best of medical attention so I'm sure they'll be fine.

Sad new this is not. A full recovery for JT, now that would be sad news, bordering on travesty for our country...

Huh.
Speeder posted, without comment, a link to a news story about the possibility of our president contracting the disease. He just posted the news story and was pummeled by the regulars for "hoping the president dies." And here you are on PPOT literally saying you think it's OK for your PM to die of the disease. You should post your opinion on PARF and see if it is applauded or savaged the way Speeder was.

As Yellowperil said. Well put. We are all in this together and should wish this virus on NO ONE.

Speaking of Canada, here's the health minister yesterday.

30-70% of you here will be infected she said.

Dennis,
It's not so bad for me, I'll be 66 this year and am at the point where I don't have to work if I don't want to. However, we have around 10,000 visitors each summer to the facility and Annapolis Royal is a small town which relies on tourism (sound familiar?). Some of my friends and neighbours will be feeling the crunch with a slower tourist season.

I spent some time this morning advising tour groups we could not be on their schedule until further notice. The responses I am hearing are along the lines of, "We might not be around either."

It's going to be a relaxing summer. I won't have to take time off from work to put in hay.

Best

Yet, illegal immigrants are pouring into Canada, like vomit, from NY at the Roxeham Rd. entrance, not screened, with the RCMP carrying their luggage.

Is there something wrong here?

There is lots wrong with CANADA right now. Our country is broken. It is not a proud time to be Canadian.

That’s because you live in a welfare province that gets transfer payments from the west. Your statement is analogous to a welfare mom being proud of the tattoos that she paid for with welfare money.
