Post A Pic Of Your Office Or Workplace

We had a thread several years ago, posting pics of our offices or other workplaces - some posted cockpits, showoffs! - let’s do that again.

Start off - my new work environment, as of about a month ago.

It’s just me, two rooms, and a computer. No corporate bureaucracy, office politics, misguided investment directives to ignore.

(No revenue either, but it’s coming - the plan assumes some lag before first dollar :-)

This is my room, as I usually see it. Elsewhere there is a copier, file cabinets, papers, and a pile of junk and empty boxes that will be replaced with a, dunno what it’s called, like a flat Bauhaus looking couch-thing with no back or arms, a “daybed”? That’s for the naps.

This is the client room. I don’t actually spend much time here.

That’s the table you guys helped me refinish. I want to put a discreet bar cabinet somewhere but haven’t found a nice one yet.

The nice thing is, I know there is no coronavirus in my office (since I control the environment), so no matter how bad it gets, I’ll still be able to come to work.

I like that monitor setup!

My computer has two video cards. I have 4 video ports per card so I could have 8 monitors. It would be expensive because I would need a different desk and this one is more furniture than a desk.

I work from home so one of the spare bedrooms became my office. I will take a picture of it sometime when I am not in the middle of a bunch of paperwork and my desk looks better.

I really don't want to get fired.

I keep mine tidy.

What model is that desktop calculator sitting there? Looks like it has similar color/design to an HP 41

Maybe a vintage Monroe? (It's a bond trader thing). :D

It is a vintage Hewlett-Packard HP-97. This was the desktop version of the famous HP-67. I am having some trouble with it and need to find someone who works on these things. I've looked for the HP-92 which is the financial version, but they are $400+ now.

Another monitor is planned for the left side, in vertical (portrait) orientation.

I thought I saw an hp-12 on your desk in another thread??

I agree the 97 is best (have a 67, 41, 12's)

I have an office, but my wife took it over. She's messy anyhow . Nothing to see there.

They are mounted on arms clamped to poles. Fiddly but works okay.

Rwebb, I used to have a Zenith laptop like that. Late 1980s? I remember I really wanted a GRID but they were too expensive.

You know, I’d like a vintage Monroe, just for fun. Realistically, all the bond parameters are calculated automatically on the screen and I have some Excel sheets for the rest. But hardware is cool!
